Poor Children Welfare Society is making a difference in the lives of poor children by providing them with access to education. The organization, called “The Learning Connection”, is based in Los Angeles, and was founded in response to the growing number of homeless children in the city. The Learning Connection provides tutoring and enrichment programs to help these children succeed in school and eventually break the cycle of poverty.
Poor Children Welfare Society is a non-profit organization that helps poor children through education. The organization was founded in 2010 by Dr. Maryam Mirmiran, who is also the current CEO.
The organization provides educational opportunities to children living in poverty, with a focus on those who are orphans or have parents who are unable to care for them. PCWS offers scholarships, sponsorships, and other financial assistance to help these children attend school and continue their education. The organization also runs an after-school program called “The Learning Center” which provides tutoring and homework help to children in need. In addition, PCWS provides basic necessities like food, clothing, and shelter to children in its care. Since its inception, PCWS has helped hundreds of children escape poverty and achieve their dreams of getting an education. The organization continues to grow and expand its reach so that it can help even more children in need.
